2026-2027 NFL Week 8 Recap

Hello everyone!

What a weird week, week 8 was. Pour one out for anyone starting Baker Mayfield - 16-0 win with 0 passes completed. First time since 1974. Also to Omar Cooper Jr. - following up his huge week from Week 7 and in a game that the Jets put up 33 points, he had 0 targets for 0 completions for 0 points. As did Zay Flowers - at least he had 5 targets though. On the flip side, congrats to anyone starting Bengals this week - huge games by Burrow, Chase (of the Ja’Marr kind, not the Brown kind), and Higgins.

Honestly, Burrow’s stat line is incredible - 38 of 48 for 462 yards + 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Let’s just take a look at SmashCards if they were played on Burrow last week. Goldfish Memory scored 30 points. This one’s for Ma-Homie - 33 points. Golden Arm - 20 points. Hall of Fame QB would have been 59.3 points!
