New Super Bowl SmashCards

It’s Super Bowl LIX week!

As is tradition, we are releasing 10 special Super Bowl SmashCards. 3 of these are cards that you know and love and have played throughout the season while 7 are brand new. These 10 SmashCards are special, commemorative, one-week only SmashCards so come try them out!

Anti-Hero
$3,000
Has Travis Kelce just been dogging it the whole season and saving it for the playoffs? The Eagles got tore up by Zach Ertz against the Commanders so that’s got to be good news for Kelce. On the other hand, this might be Goedert’s time to shine and play the Anti-Hero to the Kelce/Chiefs narrative.

Book Club
$2,500
AJ Brown helped the book Inner Excellence jump from 550,000th on Amazon’s book list to #1 and this card might help you win the Super Bowl tournament as well! This card gives you 2 points for each reception, but -1 for each target that is not caught. Compared with the $5,000 Catching Smoke - this might be huge value. A receiver that catches 8 of 10 targets would get 14 points from this card for example.

Divided Loyalties
$500
This is Upside Down World in a single player format. You pick a player and if they lose, you get a 25% bonus on their score, but if they win, you take a 25% penalty. There are plenty of divided loyalties here with Andy Reid, the Kelces, even Taylor Swift is an Eagles fan. You’re rooting for the player but not for the team. Will you have divided loyalties when you play this card?

All Bark All Bite
$3,000
Saquon Barkley is on pace for a potential historic season as he is less than 40 yards away from holding the single season record for rushing yards (regular season and playoffs) - and you have to imagine that he will get that record in this game. Barkley has a chance to take it to the house on any given play and that bodes extremely well for this card. He has averaged over 5 yards per carry 11 times already this season. Does he have one more in him?

Burnt Ends
$3,000
A favorite SmashCard during the season, is this viable for the Super Bowl? Both Philadelphia and Kansas City boast strong defenses so a defense allowing 35 or more points seems unlikely. That said, the last time these 2 teams met in the Super Bowl just 2 years ago, the final score was 38-35 and this card would have hit for either team, so who knows? Any given Sunday!

Tush Push
$2,500
Ah - the play that is so unstoppable that a Packers’ executive wants it banned. It’s so unstoppable that the Bills and every other team is just running it with 100% success rates….. oh wait, maybe not. That doesn’t mean you can’t play it though. The Eagles run this play more and better than any other team in the league. The card can be dangerous though - it’s high risk - high reward. You get 12 points for each rushing TD from your QB but all rushing yards hurt you. That means if a QB rushed for 100 yards with 0 TDs, this card is worth -10. That said, if the Eagles did what they did against the Commanders with Hurts getting 3 TDs on just 16 yards rushing - this card would be worth 34 points which is insane value for a $2,500 card and a potential week-winning card.

12th Man
$1,000
So can we say it? Am I going to get fined? The refs are definitely helping out Kansas City right? Well you can get the refs to help out your team too by making every TD (passing, rushing, or receiving) worth 3 additional points. Saquon rushed for 3 TDs? That’s an extra 9 points from this card. Mahomes threw for 2 and rushed for 2? That’s an extra 12 points from this card. Make your TDs count more with the 12th man!

E-L-G-S-E-S Eagles!
$3,000
Who says Eagles fans can’t read or spell? Certainly not the Mayor! Well, at least the Eagles defense can read quarterbacks and receivers. This card gives you 4 points for each pass defended. On average across the season, there are 4 passes defended per game so this averages 16 points but who knows - this is the #1 ranked Defense in the league and if the front 4 can get pressure on Mahomes, there might be a lot of passes defended this game. As a side note, I would love to get a beer with that eagle!

This One’s for Ma-Homie
$3,000
An incredibly underrated card during the season - we talked about it a bit on Haibo Does Data but I think this was a great card that was just under-utilized the whole year. This card rewards volume and accuracy (in that order) and high volume, accurate passers can go gangbusters on this card. Fun fact, the high score for this card in the season came in Week 5 with Kirk Cousins. He went 42 of 58! against Tampa Bay and would have scored 34 points with this card. 58 passes in a game is insane!

Beads and Bourbon
$1,000
We pay tribute to NOLA and the Big Easy. Every loves a close game, an exciting game. And this card rewards you if it’s a close game. Since there is only 1 game this week, no matter who you play it on, if it’s a close game, you get the points. FYI, the last 3 Super Bowls have all have 3 points or less so this card would have hit each of the last 3 Super Bowls. Take that for what you will.

And that’s what we got! Go try these out in the Weekly Tournaments and good luck this weekend!!
