Tournament of Champions Details
Hello everyone! This article covers the details for the SmashUp Sports Post-Season Tournament of Champions.
The Tournament of Champions is an invite only tournament. If you placed in the top 20 during any of our 18 Fantasy Frenzy tournaments during the year or if you successfully completed the Road to Glory and defeated all 6 bosses, then you have qualified. You should have received an email from SmashUp with your special invite link. If you did not receive your invite link and think you have qualified, please reach out to us at help@smashupsports.com.
The Tournament of Champions is a 3 week league that starts with Wildcard Weekend, then the Divisional Round, and finally the Championship Round.
In Weeks 1 and 3 - the Wildcard Weekend and the Championship Round Weekend, it will be the normal setup. Since this is a league, unlike Weekly where you get multiple lineups, here, all users get 1 lineup per week.
In Week 2, we throw you a little twist. Just like the GM Challenges where there is a Field Card in play for everyone, all users will be playing under the effects of Upside Down World. With Upside Down World, all players on teams that lose in real life get a 25% boost while players on winning teams in real life get a 25% penalty. This gives an added challenge for our expert players.
All players will be competing for over $10,000 in prizes. Here are the prizes for the top 10.
Place | Prize |
---|---|
1 | $5,000 |
2 | $1,500 |
3 | $1,000 |
4 | $750 |
5 | $500 |
6 | $300 |
7 | $200 |
8 | $100 |
9 | $50 |
10 | $50 |
For everyone else, we are awarding $5 just for qualifying for the Tournament of Champions, so everyone is going to walk away with something!
Please reach out to us if you have any questions and good luck in the Tournament of Champions!
